Richard James x Harry’s London — Winning Concept Competition

Studio Fairerol won the concept competition to design a flagship environment for Richard James and Harry’s London, imagining a space that celebrated the alchemy between tailoring and shoemaking.

The proposal balanced contrasts — rough and smooth, fluid and precise, traditional and modern — to capture the character of both brands. Harry’s identity was expressed through an atelier within the atelier, sharp architectural lines framing the softness of nappa, deerskin, and calf leather. Richard James came through in fluid spatial gestures, echoing the drape of bespoke tailoring, set against strong elements in limestone, stainless steel, plaster, and concrete.

The winning concept envisioned a boutique that was luxurious, curated, and personal — an environment where craft, materiality, and contemporary elegance merge into a memorable retail experience.
